Children who have experienced considerable change in their lives or who have survived traumatic events need to express and understand their feelings. Therapy provides children with the opportunity to identify, discuss, express, and understand their feelings. They can resolve their problems/conflicts and develop necessary coping skills. Therapy also provides an opportunity to address parental concerns, educate parents regarding their child’s unique needs, and assist them in meeting their needs in an appropriate, effective fashion.

- are dealing with issues of loss, such as illness or death of a loved one
